No, not one year since a wedding or relationship anniversary, so don't worry ladies. But seriously, today marks the day of my first year anniversary here on Deviant Art!
Now keep in mind I've known about this wonderful, and sometimes creepy, site for many years now, I just never had the use or interest in publicly displaying some of my artwork until fairly recently. I guess my experience could have been worse, but I'm quite satisfied with the feedback and such that I've received over this past year. I really do take all the tips, comments, and concerns into consideration and use a lot of what I see to help my own technique and learn new ones as well.
My only regret so far is the lack of uploads. Only 43? I mean come on, I know I can do better than that! So my goal for this next year is to at least DOUBLE my deviations, which won't be too hard considering the majority of what I sketch doesn't see the light of day.
Well, I realize reading a long journal entry is rather boring, so here's to another year of art! Thanks to all who have taken the time to look at, comment on, and make suggestions. It really means a lot!

Update and Recent Activity
So, as you guys could already tell, I'm actually uploading stuff as of late. Although most of it is on the older side, I hope y'all are looking at it or whatever. I'd ask for feedback but it wouldn't exactly be worthwhile since they're so old. I'm working on getting newer stuff done and scanned as well, which will come later. I've been trying to space everything out so as not to overwhelm you guys. I spent most of an afternoon last week tearing out, scanning, and uploading 40 pages' worth of drawings. Yes, 40 pages. 40 individually torn out and scanned pages, all in one afternoon. (._.")
If you're on the more desperate side for artistic upd
Update
Wow, it's certainly been awhile since I've posted a new journal. Anyways, I'll try to make this as quick and painless as possible.
Generally speaking things haven't improved much for me, both artistically and in life. I'm still stuck in pretty much the same place I was a year ago with dwindling hope of things changing. Plans keep falling through, goals become further out of reach, and getting through each day is becoming more of a chore.
As far as art and drawing goes, I did manage to get a table a few months ago for Christmas and have been practicing with that. I feel a little more confident with my art game but still very far off from whe
Comment/Tagged Journal
Y'all know the drill, comment and I'll take a swing at this. Journal entry with actual information may come at a later date. Also, sorry in advance if I say something stupid or completely irrelevant. >_>

The Digital Age ~ Help Out A Fellow Artist
As with the advent of modern technology, art has certainly make leaps and bounds in terms of methods and mediums. I've always been a big advocate of the more classical approach to art by using the standard pencil and paper, but I'm more intrigued with trying new ways to create.
As of now, my primary way of making anything is sketching with a pencil, mostly just cheap mechanical ones, and later inking them with a special manga inking set. Depending on the purpose of the drawing and quality of the paper, I often skip the whole inking process altogether. Heck, more than half of what I put on paper never sees the light of day, let alone gets sca
